Urban Family Photo shoot

 

 

Last week we had the privilege to take our family photos with the most talented young photographer

Inspired by Liana. I actually recently just met her and instantly fell in love with her personality! Later did I know that she was in school for graphic design and a photographer! I called her up right away and she met us at the Ace Hotel in downtown Portland. My husband & I love to go there and drink our Stumptown coffee and enjoy the cozy sofa flipping through magazines.. So this was a great spot I thought would be fun to take some family photos! I was going for an urban, rustic setting, with the bookshelves in the background, so it was the perfect spot. Despite of course the cold Portland rainy weather, it was nice to be inside. My three year old who didn't nap of course was acting like a three year old, not listening all the time and being silly..but Liana still managed to capture some amazing shots of Zeek..well being Zeekie. I loved them all! Then we drove a few blocks up in the Pearl District the Jamison Park where there is a giant Christmas tree we thought would be cute idea for the holidays. Across the street is "the famous rustic wall" a lot of photographers like to come and shoot photos next to it. I don't blame them its the coolest wall ever and I thought it would be the perfect backdrop for our shoot.

Overall, I was impressed how quickly she managed to take our photos in less than 2 hours, capture the most amazing shots and have them ready in less than a week. Unheard of!
