Urban Rustic Wedding

Fibia + Ben
April 28, 2012

I can't even begin to describe the joy and happiness I had on this day!
My good friend who I have known since 8th grade was about to become a wife!
We have stayed close through out the years and are in such different areas in our lives.
I got married almost 5 years ago and she was a part of my special day.
Now I'm expecting my second baby this summer and she has become Mrs. Peterson.

I was a bit emotional when I saw the bride walking down the aisle.
She was crying as well and I could just see the LOVE in her smile and her radiance overflowing!
She was impeccable. I stood in the very back and captured a few shots.

The place was beyond words. Actually this was the first time a wedding has took place here.
Its a rundown two story building off 8th & Morison in downtown Portland. I guess I was told they use it for art shows and such events. But to have this wedding there was the most perfect place!
Huge windows all along the side of the building let in the natural light shine in. The lighting was perfect! The ceilings were very tall, so the room felt really airy and spacious. With it being 300+ guests it didn't feel cramped at all.

So romantic, so simple, so rustic & urban! I was mesmerized!
The room smelt amazing with the white fresh Lilacs as center pieces.
They also had a little Polaroid-instax  area, what an amazing idea to have guests take a pic and pin it for the newlyweds for memories to come.

Everything about this day was special.
I'm so happy beyond words for Fibia + Ben!
Congratulations! And may they be Blessed in their marriage!

Love your dress. Where did you get it?
You look so cute, Olga! I love that dress! Also, it's so funny that you know Fibia. Ben and Ian are really good friends and I was supposed to go to this wedding but I was out of town! Another opportunity missed to meet you in person : (

Also, I wanted to say that I am so thankful for all the nice comments you've been leaving me about expecting a new little boy. I really appreciate it and I'm sure questions will come up especially once he's finally here!
I am so incredibly obsessed with everything about this wedding: the dress, the cake, the pictures, etc. Love it!

What a gorgeous wedding. I love the simplicity of it all. The wood flooring, all those windows, the white brick walls. Nothing else needed. And she was a beautiful bride. That dress with her curves. Oh lordy, absolutely breathtaking!
