{My Birth Story}

I wanted to post these pics up right away after giving birth..
but I totally forgot! So here it is..

....Three Months Later...
I promise it wont be very long..

It was a beautiful warm summer day..
I decided to go for a little walk around the neighborhood with my sister..
The walk turned into 2 hour hike up the hills but I was so determined to get this baby out! I was 39 weeks pregnant and ready! Especially knowing that I have to travel with a newborn to California for a wedding. I defiantly wanted Ethan to come out early.
We made BBQ that evening and I packed my baby bag. I was kind of cramping all day that Sunday.
My water broke around 10:00pm. Nothing sudden, just started leaking a lot!
I called the nurse, she told me to come in "only" if I started to get contractions close apart.
I hardly slept, tossed & turned all night.
By 5:00am I woke up (my sweet little sister) who happened to spend the night I asked her to drive me to the hospital.
My husband stayed at home with our two year old who was still asleep.
I told him that I will keep him informed and not to worry.
On the twenty minute car ride I timed my contractions they were 7 minutes apart and pretty painful.
I got admitted and the nurse brought me to my room.
She checked me and said, Yes you are 4cm dilated and your water broke,  you will definitely be having this baby today.
August 13, 2012
I was so over joyed and thrilled! Four days early. yay! I was excited!
I called my husband and said that we will meet our son today!
By noon I was having pretty painful contractions...I tried to get through them.
Nurse checked and said you were still the same 4cm dilated.
Goodness. I thought why wasn't he coming out already!
I was pretty exhausted for not sleeping practically all night and fighting through the contractions.
By 1pm I asked to get the epidural.
Such relief and felt relaxed a bit.. With the epidural I was able to get a little rest. Not much though.
I phoned by hubby around 3pm and told him that I was still at 5cm and not much has changed. That I would keep him informed.. Within an hour.....
By 4pm the nurse checked me and said "Do not push! I can see the baby's head, he is ready to come out you are 10cm dialed!"  she ran to call my doctor and I quickly got on the phone to call my husband who was on stand by.
My sister was with me during the entire time and my mom came towards the end.
I'm on the phone "Babe get your butt in here now I'm about to push!"
husband: "what do you mean you spoke to me an hour ago and you were only 5cm!"
.Can not wait a second longer. Please hurry! I really wanted him to be there!
Edward drove so fast through traffic, rushed and ran through the hospital.
The doctor & nurses all ready, my legs spread..everyone is waiting for the father, my husband to get there asap!
I'm ready to push this boy out!
Hubby comes running in the door at 5pm quickly grabs my hand and was all excited and ready for me to push.
It took me three steady pushes and by 5:13pm little Ethan came out!
Perfectly healthy. 10 fingers, 10 toes. And plump lips in which I couldn't resist to kiss.
Weighing 7lbs and 20 inches long.
We all started crying from joy and happiness.
Thank God it was a pretty fast labor. Compared to my first born a lot harder.. but thats another story..
I was so happy that my husband came just in time! So he got to share this beautiful moment to.
Now I have this beautiful memory to look back at and remember..

A big Thank you to my sister Gloria who took al these amazing photos!

Love how all the pictures tell the story. I can't believe your husband wasn't there until the last minute! What if he didn't make it? I think I would have been freaking out if I was you!
